In my opinion, it would be really fun if teachers started using Stimuler for a "warm-up" before class begins. So, instead of students being immediately asked to speak in front of the whiteboard, which makes them nervous, it would be better if we're given homework to complete the Daily Challenge in this app. We practice first, get a good score, and then the next day in class we discuss the topic with our friends. So, at school, we’re no longer "blank" about what to say. This could be used as a kind of flipped classroom learning method.

What is the impact of it for ELT?
The biggest impact is reduced speaking anxiety. In a big class, I’m often too shy to raise my hand because I’m afraid of making a mistake. With Stimuler, it’s just me and the AI. Then, the impact most felt by students is self-confidence. A student who initially felt very insecure when speaking up, afraid of making grammar mistakes or being laughed at by friends. But at Stimuler, because they only chat with AI, students feel they have a 'safe space' to make mistakes as they please. This makes me more independent in checking my own abilities without having to wait for my turn to be called by the teacher in a class with many students.
What are the advantages of it?
Instant Gratification: Student get a score and "filler word" count immediately. they don't have to wait a week for a graded paper.
Safe Space to Fail: The AI doesn't judge. so, the student can repeat a sentence 10 times until they can get the pronunciation right.
Gamification: The streaks and badges make me want to come back every day, just like a game.
Objective Metrics: It gives a clear number for my fluency (WPM - Words Per Minute) and grammar, which helps to see exactly where student improving.
What are the limitations or weakness of it?
But well, it's a robot after all, so there are still shortcomings. In speaking practice, sometimes if the internet is slow or the surroundings are noisy, this AI gets confused and misunderstands what is being said. Also, occasionally it feels flat, because it can't feel emotions or understand deep jokes like when we talk to a real teacher. Talking to a phone indeed can't fully replace the feeling of two-way conversation with a human.
What language skills or components would it be effective for?
For me, this app really maximizes the Speaking and Pronunciation parts. Speaking fluency becomes smoother, not too many pauses anymore. Besides that, students’ vocabulary increases because the app often suggests cooler words to replace very ordinary words. Grammar while speaking also becomes tidier because whenever there’s a wrong structure, you are immediately reminded right away.
